Association Rencontres en Séronais establishes these Terms of Use and Participation Charter to govern all public interactions, digital communications, and athletic gatherings organized under our non-profit public utility mandate. Participation in our community assemblies is universally open and non-commercial, founded upon mutual respect, environmental stewardship, and adherence to safety protocols established by our volunteer leadership.

Statutory Non-Profit & Disinterestedness Charter

All activities, gatherings, materials, and services provided by Association Rencontres en Séronais are 100% non-profit, non-commercial, and dedicated exclusively to serving the public interest. No products, services, or admissions are sold for commercial gain. Funding is provided through public grants from regional and municipal entities and voluntary contributions.

"All membership fees and dues are fully reinvested in the association's public interest missions."

Article 1 – Legal Identification & Purpose

The website accessible at rencontresenseronais.com is published by ASSOCIATION RENCONTRES EN SERONAIS, an association declared under the French Law of July 1, 1901 and the Decree of August 16, 1901, registered at the Préfecture de l'Ariège under RNA identification number W091001335 and national SIREN number 453427841, having its registered seat at COTES, 09240 LA BASTIDE-DE-SEROU, France.

The association’s statutory object is exclusively non-profit: to foster community engagement, social cohesion, and active public recreation across the Séronais territory through free public sports events, nature exploration outings, and cultural assemblies that serve the general interest.

Article 2 – Absolute Non-Commercial Nature of Services

All information, digital maps, educational guides, and event listings provided on this website are distributed entirely free of charge for the educational and recreational benefit of the public. No e-commerce transactions, commercial sales, fee-based memberships, or financial payment gateways are implemented or supported.

Any commercial utilization, unauthorized resale, or advertising exploitation of the association’s name, logo, event schedules, or trail cartography is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from the Board of Directors.

Article 3 – Safety Obligations & Participant Responsibility

While Association Rencontres en Séronais provides experienced volunteer guides, course marshaling, and safety infrastructure for all scheduled calendar assemblies, outdoor walking, running, and trail activities in mid-mountain terrain involve inherent physical exertion and environmental risks (including uneven surfaces, changing weather, and wildlife encounters).

Every participant certifies that they possess a level of physical conditioning adequate for their chosen activity. Participants must wear suitable footwear, carry adequate personal hydration, and adhere unconditionally to safety instructions issued by volunteer marshals and medical officers. The association holds institutional civil liability insurance (MAIF/MACIF); however, participants are strongly encouraged to maintain individual personal accident and health insurance coverage.

Article 4 – Youth Participation & Parental Consent

Minors under the age of sixteen participating in association activities must either be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or designated adult custodian, or have a signed parental authorization form on file with the youth commission prior to departure. Our certified volunteer leaders maintain a caring, vigilant, and structured environment during all youth clinics.

Article 5 – Environmental & Civic Code

In fidelity to our ecological charter, every user and participant agrees to respect natural habitats, private property boundaries, and communal rights-of-way. It is strictly forbidden to litter, damage flora, disturb livestock in mountain pastures, or leave gates unlatched. Failure to observe basic environmental and interpersonal respect may result in exclusion from future association gatherings by decision of the Executive Bureau.

Article 6 – Intellectual Property & Open Educational Commons

All text, visual compositions, historical chronicles, and educational guides published on this website remain the intellectual property of Association Rencontres en Séronais. Educational institutions, regional hiking clubs, and non-profit community organizations are granted permission to reproduce articles and trail guides for non-commercial educational purposes, provided that explicit credit is attributed to the association.

Article 7 – Applicable Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed exclusively by French substantive law. In the event of any dispute arising from the interpretation, execution, or validity of these terms, the parties agree to seek an amicable resolution through direct consultation with the association’s Board of Directors. Failing amicable resolution, exclusive jurisdiction is conferred upon the competent civil courts of Foix (Ariège, France).
