Gentle Nordic Walking & Senior Mobility Circles
Target Beneficiaries: Rural retirees, seniors managing chronic health conditions, individuals recovering from physical injuries, and residents seeking low-impact cardiovascular recreation in a convivial outdoor setting.
Operational Cadence: Every Tuesday and Thursday morning, departing promptly at 09:30 from rotating village halls across La Bastide-de-Sérou, Suzan, Cadarcet, and Castelnau-Durban.
Field Methodology: Sessions commence with gentle dynamic joint mobilization exercises guided by certified volunteer instructors. Routes follow shaded, gentle-grade pastoral lanes and packed gravel agricultural paths measuring between 3.5 and 6 kilometers. Volunteer marshals are distributed at the front, middle, and rear of the group, ensuring that participants walk at a comfortable conversational pace without anxiety about being left behind.
Equipment & Accessibility: High-grade ergonomic Nordic walking poles are provided on free loan from our association inventory. Sessions culminate in brief cool-down stretches and informal hydration gatherings where participants share herbal teas and check in on neighboring residents.
